Florin Tincescu, one of 15 drivers entered for the opening round of the inaugural FIA ERC Junior Championship in Latvia later this month, has vowed to work hard in his bid for success in 2014.
Tincescu covered 150 kilometres during a test in his Napoca Rally Academy Citroën C2R2 last weekend as part of his preparations for Rally Liepāja, which takes place from 31 January-2 February. With limited experience of international competition, Tincescu says maximum effort will be key.
“Most likely in Latvia we will have snow, but unfortunately we didn’t had the same condition at our test,” said Tincescu. “But the most important thing was to get some kilometres with the car, to find a good rhythm and to be prepared for the start of the season. We don’t have any experience on gravel covered with snow but I will work hard in every rally to compensate our lack of experience at international level.”
